As they did in 2.2, the men in the play are using the females. They put Ophelia in the position of "bait" for their trap. Dismiss Ophelia's intellect (and emotional well-being) as part of their own devices.

The men tell Gertrude to "get lost" ... she dutifully obeys.
After Hamlet abused Ophelia (at least with his words) Polonius offered her solace but Claudius was just angry that Ophelia wasn't the reason.
